It's funny you know, I was fervently anti-Mac for quite a few years.

Why did I hold Macs in disdain?

Simple answer: Mac owners.

That's right, Mac owners who don't just USE a particular type of computer, but have to TELL you all about the machine they're using in GREAT INTRINSIC DETAIL.

All the "it's designed to just work" and the "Apple think of everything" platitudes are bad enough and could be ignorable in themselves.

But there's the accompanying quasi-erotic fanboy love that goes into the anticipation and release of new products, made infinitely worse by that oh-so-smug Mac IT support answer to every Windows tech problem ever:

"GET A MAC".

What a bunch of c##ts.

Or as I like to summarise it, WABOCs.

But then Macs went INTEL and I saw how good they had become and I acquiesced meekly as I got seduced by the eye candy and the slick design.

So I got a Mac.

I TRY not to be smug.

I TRY to justify it because I make music on it with Logic, which isn't available on any other platform but OS X.

I TRY to justify it on the grounds of having paid for its pricey loveliness with a timely work performance bonus.

NONE OF THAT stops my Windows Warrior chums ripping the p1ss.

Especially beak.

If only they KNEW the power of the DARK SIDE...

That screenshot reminds me of why I have a mac at home. Don't get me wrong, I'm all about multiplatform. I've used both PC and mac for many years: I knew being able to use both would be an advantage to me in my work, as many people are either PC or mac users and never the twain shall meet.

However, for ease of use, intuitivity (I think I just made that word up!), longevity (a mac can run for years without major problems: the one I have is almost ten years old) and minimum viruses/malware (though I expect that will change soon as macs become more popular), a mac can't be beat
